- Close to Ponte Vecchio, on the other side of the river away from tourists - loved the location, trendy and artsy - accommodating staff - comfortable beds - 40% discount for early booking through booking.com - two different pillows - one flat and one cushiony

La Scaletta is in an amazing location, just steps from the Ponte Vecchio. There is even a gelateria just outside the door. I visited the roof deck on Monday, when the restaurant was closed, and had it all to myself. Sunset from up there is magical!

The location was perfect for our first visit to Florence and gave us a wonderful feeling of being in the heart of the city. It was really helpful to be able to arrange parking in advance and to bring the car so far into the city. The view from the roof terrace is amazing. We chose to have breakfast on both mornings and found it excellent with lots of interesting choices. Our stay coincided with a very hot spell in Florence which meant that the air conditioning in the hotel rooms was particularly welcome. It was easy to pop back for a break from the heat.

Beautiful hotel. Amazing staff, they were very helpful for organising trains to Venice.. food and gallery recommendations along with taxi hires. The view from the room top is amazing and the restaurant is definitely worth checking out but book in advance!

Fantastic location right beside Ponte Vecchio. Large and modern room. Great cleaning staff. Rooftop bar and restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Very good breakfast.

Hotel location was fantastic for us and was in a suitably quiet part of town but close to the main attractions. The Hotel staff were really helpful in accommodating my disability and gave us a room with ground floor access which was really good. The room was spacious very clean and very well appointed with a lovely view on to the internal courtyard. The soundproofing was excellent so it was very quiet. Note that there are a handful of stairs to get to the lift to get up to the reception and restaurant. The breakfast was superb with plenty of variety. There are stairs involved to get to the terrace from the restaurant room but it is well worth it if you can manage it. Also the panoramic view from the top terrace is spectacular and well worth the extra effort.

First time we ever stayed on this side of the river and it was really great experience as it was walking distance to pretty much everything we wanted to visit. Amazing views from the roof top bar! Our room was enormous with amazing frescoes and we also had a infrared sauna which we used and it was perfect end to our busy vacation. Reception was very friendly and helpful. They organised a parking for us too. There are many good restaurants near by including Michelin Star and some great shopping of course! We will return!

The location is great. Just up the hill from the Ponte Vecchio on the Oltrarno side. The staff is cheery and good at providing information. The breakfast is varied and good. The rooftop restaurant has really good food and a world-class view.

Great location and super quiet as the rooms are far from the busy areas. My room was brand new so everything was perfect and As it was on the ground floor I didn’t need the stairs / lift much. The roof-top 360o view is a huge bonus.
